It is a pleasure to give CasaVerano and Joakim Lystad the very best references. We had for several years considered buying a property on the Costa Blanca, without any of what we looked at having given us the good feeling one should have to buy. We have gladly set aside some time when we have been on holiday in this beautiful area, and looked at property along the entire coast. South towards La Manga, and north to Denia. Some time has also been spent on various brokers' websites, the housing portal Idealista etc. It was during such a search that we came across a property that was located in an urbanization where we had previously rented one of the neighboring houses. This was in the middle of the pandemic, and we sat at home in Norway and longed for sun, heat and our favorite restaurant in Alicante. We started by sending an email to CasaVerano's general email address, and got a quick response from Joakim. He answered all the questions neatly, and as we learned what we wanted, he suggested a digital display. We agreed on a time for a meeting, and Joakim went through the entire property, both outdoor areas, common areas and all of the drawers and cabinets were reviewed. Along the way we could ask questions, take a new round into the desired room, etc. After the show, Joakim took another round and made a great video of the property, which we could then use as a basis for decision when we sat down in peace and quiet. to assess whether we should move on.

After a few days of deliberation, we decided that we wanted to bid on the property, and contacted Joakim again. Here we experienced that we received good guidance and assistance. Not least in terms of how and at what level you start the "bidding round". After a few days of negotiations where we received very good guidance from Joakim, we agreed on a price that both buyer and seller could accept, and a little shaky, we were suddenly on our way to fulfilling the dream of a holiday home in Spain! It is said that there is a lot of "chaos" and many pitfalls when buying property abroad. We can sign on to that, there is quite a lot to be arranged. But here Joakim was clear that he wanted us to use his partner in the further work, and we have never regretted it. Spanish lawyer with Norwegian representative arranged all paperwork. The only thing we had to do from home was take a round to the District Court and the State Administrator for the Apostille and "correct copy" of the passport.

At the beginning of August 2021, we finally had the opportunity to come down and walk through the house itself, and it was incredibly nice to see that everything was in line with expectations. Then Joakim had made sure that the whole house was washed, and he had also hired a craftsman to make a couple of improvements. When we came down everything was done and in perfect condition. Joakim and his partners also set up a bank account, as well as establishing deductions for fixed expenses such as electricity, water, insurance, taxes, etc. During our visit in August, Joakim also helped us get WIFI installed, and his partner had made an agreement with the bank to arrange online banking. They were even with us at the bank to ensure that no language challenges arose.

All in all, we are super happy to have a holiday home in Spain, which we hope and believe we will enjoy for many years to come. And the way Joakim and CasaVerano have assisted us, we can not get full praise. Very happy!
